On Friday morning, she opened the bureau and found 20 sovereigns of gold jewellery missing. In her complaint, Priya stated that she used to keep her gold jewellery in a bureau. Devi Priya, 38, wife of Krishna Chandar of Tulip Garden at Balaji Nagar at Kalapatti, lodged a complaint with Peelamedu investigation wing police inspector Amutha on Friday evening. They were booked under Section 381 of the Indian Penal Code. Both hailed from Ambedkar Nagar on the Vilankurichi Road in the city.
